I love all of the kid-friendly play spaces and classes in Chicago. I can only imagine that they will be a life-saver when the temperatures drop. During the summer months, several spots are offering discounted packages. I try to keep my daughter indoors when the sun is at its hottest each day, so we’ve been heading to Gymboree for play and learn classes.
The space is great - padded climbing areas, slides, carpet, gym mats…a fun spot for young explorers. I haven’t loved the classes, but the open gym time can’t be beat. I suspect that it’s less crowded now than in summer months, which is fine by me! You can learn more and check out the class schedule here.
Four Peas is helping Boston Mamas celebrate its 3rd birthday! The site is featuring giveaways all month long, and three lucky winners will receive a Four Peas school-sized backpack. Check out the site for more details - and good luck!
I’m planning my daughter’s first birthday party (she’s 11 months old today!) and having so much fun thinking about the theme and colors. It will me a music-themed birthday party, with decor in orange, pink and yellow. Looking online for inspiration today, I found these beautiful paper flowers at Walmart.com. They’re a Martha Stewart product, so of course they’re fabulous!
I plan to hang them above the table, instead of a centerpiece, and then they might just find their way into her nursery after that!
